No Coercion - July 2025

Revisting a piece of work, No Coercion!, from 2022 at Traces 2025, an event at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park. There were three independent works focussed on the memorial to Alfred Linnell who died at a demonstration on Trafalgar Square in 1887. The beautiful banner was created by Kate Shurety and the live singers are CoMA singers led by Janet Oates. No Coercion features the voices of The Muswell Hill Chorus singing Stuart Vezey's 2022 arrangement of William Morris's A Death Song written for the funeral of Alfred Linnell, and Tansy Spinks playing her music composed as a setting for William Morris's Message of the March Wind.
